England bowler Ollie Robinson conceded a County Championship record 43 runs in Sussex's match against Leicestershire at Hove.
Robinson got six fours and two sixes off Louis Kimber, three boundaries came off no-balls and, in a noticeably expensive nine-ball over, he also delivered a single.
Earlier this week, England spinner Shoaib Bashir, currently on loan at Worcestershire from Somerset, gave up 38 runs in a win over Surrey, including five sixes from Dan Lawrence.
At that point, Bashir's over was the joint-most expensive in Championship history, equaling the 38 runs taken by Alex Tudor when Surrey played Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford, with 34 of those scored by young Andrew Flintoff.
But Robinson now has a completely unwanted record after being brought down by Leicestershire batsman Kimber. He finished with a 62-ball century during his carnage, starting off 72 balls off 56 deliveries.
Robinson and Bashir could be in the England XI for the first Test against West Indies at Lord's on July 10. sky sportsSo touring batsmen might be licking their lips!
