Envi Lodges plans a luxury tented camp in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro.  Travel Weekly

Sustainable hotel brand Envi Lodges plans to open a luxury tented camp near Arusha, Tanzania in late 2025. The camp, named Envi Kili, will be the company's second East African property after recently signing a deal to manage Envi Paje in Zanzibar.

Envi Kili will offer 20 secluded tents focused on combining luxury with an immersive nature experience. The camp has a restaurant that uses ingredients from the Envi garden and nearby farms. a wellness center offering nature-inspired treatments; yoga deck; A dedicated adventure concierge.

The property also includes a clubhouse with dining, entertainment, seating areas and organized activities. Envi Kili will target safari travelers who use Arusha as a gateway to destinations such as Serengeti National Park.

The project is a partnership between Envi Lodges, an American company Global Tourism Investments, and its Tanzanian subsidiary Golf Safari Resorts & Spa.

“We are excited to bring this concept to Tanzania,” said Niru Patel, founder of Golf Safari Resorts & Spa. “We believe Envi Kili will be the best choice for travelers seeking a luxury safari experience.”

Envi Kili will feature eco-friendly architecture with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The camp aims to benefit from Tanzania's booming tourism industry, which saw a record 1.81 million visitors in 2023.
