Alex Albon said Thailand was “serious” for the Williams driver to host the race in the future as he met with the Prime Minister of F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.
Albon, who drives under the Thai flag, talks with the Paetongtarn Shinawatra ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix last weekend.
After talking to Essina Watra in March, Domenicali said that it would continue to “impressive” and “in a few weeks and months.”
The current contract with the F1 allows up to 25 races with the team, so there is a possibility of adding an event, but if the cruel schedule is already expanded, there may be push bags from the driver.
‘A big opportunity to promote motor sports’
Albon said: “It was a series of conversations that Stefano had:” I have seen how I can help. Thailand has a great opportunity to promote motor sports.
“Premier leagues are not the biggest sports, but we can inspire not only drivers but also engineers, mechanicals and marketing people.
“There is a huge young generation. I flew by the number of people there when we had a meeting.
“It is growing a lot, but it is about how it can be obtained at a different level hopefully when the race comes.”
Albon has been added Sky Sports F1 Whether he can participate in the layout of Bangkok Track: “I’m still in progress. I’m following. If you look at the project, you can see how serious they are. I can say that.”
Albon: F1 fascinating growth in Thailand
MOTOGP has held a motorcycle Thai Grand Prix since 2018. Except for the Covid -ACCCELLED event in 2020 and 2021, ALBON believes that F1 is growing nationwide.
“When we think about the current location in 2019, it is more than four times the triple. How can we build an over -advertising and fascination of F1?” He said.
“We saw how Formula 1 headed to the younger and younger and more diverse populations. It is still in the beginning.
“The majority of people who are interested in Formula 1 are not your casual viewers, they are receiving in other countries.”
Most of the F1’s 24 race schedules have been fixed for several years, but in winter, the Dutch Grand Prix will drop the calendar after 2026.
The Belgian Grand Prix will also start with the first absence of 2028 and will appear as a rotation basis.
