The statue of the late Pope John Paul II is the twins who are being treated by the Pope Francis

There is a big statue of Pope John Paul II, one of the most famous patients outside the Gemelli hospital in Rome.

The building, made of white Kara marble, depicts the pope in the second half, crucified and clutched, and his eyebrows suffered.

Doctors at Gemelli Hospital helped to save John Paul’s life after failing to attempt assassination at St. Peter Square in May 1981. He had six hours of surgery to remove bullets from the abdomen.

This is the first time the Pope was treated for the first time in the largest hospital in Rome.

Among the current patients in the hospital is the Pope Francis, which was admitted to respiratory infections last week. He was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.

Pope John Paul II, who took pictures while visiting Ireland, entered the Gem Meli Hospital about 10 times.

In his 25 years of Pope, John Paul was hospitalized for about 10 times and sometimes for a long time. He was treated for a variety of diseases, including benign tumors, hip hip joints and troggleans when Parkinson’s disease was in progress.

Gemelli, a Catholic Education Hospital, opened in the 1960s. It is one of the largest private hospitals in Europe with over 1500 beds.

This book, built by Pope Fius XI on land donated to theologians and doctor Agustino Gemmeli in 1934, is known as “Pope Hospital.” John Paul II is even nicknamed “Vatican 3”, St. Peter Square, one of the Vatican and the Castel Gandolfo of the Vatican 2.

In the 1980s, Gemelli established a special pope suite that is still used today.

It is a small apartment on the 10th floor, and all white suite with strict and simple furniture. In addition to the bedroom and bathroom, there is a living room for his aide, and there is a living room with a chapel with a knee and a big cross. The Pope can attend or celebrate the Mass.

Long approach corridors leading to suite are protected by the Italian police, Vatican Zendamary and hospital security.

Pope’s suite is booked for the Pope, but other patients are treated on the same floor.

There is a balcony that allows the pope to welcome faithful people and can do Angelus every week.

Good wishes are often gathered in the plaza outside the hospital for the health of Pontif. Flowers, cards, photos and candles are often at the foot of John Paul II.

Pope Francis arrives in Vatican for a weekly audience.

According to the official announcement, Pope Benedict XVI has never been admitted to the hospital for eight years, but his brother visited it when he was treated there in 2014.

Pope Francis has been treated several times in twins. In 2013 he had surgery in the colon. He was treated with infectious bronchitis in March 2023, and at the end of that year he had a retard surgery.

He often saw his medical team and other hospital workers. At the end of the stay, he baptized the newborn and shared a pizza dinner with doctors, nurses, assistants and Vatican security officers.
