Enduet Camp, a new entrant to the Tanzanian safari sector, has opened its Wild Wakati camp in the central Serengeti.
Founded by Matt Wilkey and Tanzanian guide Michael Shayo, the operator has established itself as a low-impact, community-focused safari experience in one of Africa’s most popular wildlife destinations.
Wild Wakati Camp is located along the main corridor of the Great Migration and has 10 canvas tents, including 2 family units. Accommodations include en-suite bathrooms, modern amenities and views of the Serengeti plains. Guests can enjoy full board with a dedicated children’s program that includes gourmet meals, safari dinners and activities such as traditional fire-making, Maasai cultural lessons and safari soccer.

Travelers can take part in guided game drives to witness great migrations, predator encounters and rare wildlife, including exclusive rhino sightings near Moru Kopjes, an area of ancient granite outcrops in the southern Serengeti known for its unique landscape and resident black rhinos. Additional experiences range from hot air balloon safaris and bush breakfasts to walking safaris and visits to local Maasai villages. The camp has also partnered with Sanaa, a social enterprise based in Arusha, to showcase handcrafted decorations and support people with disabilities.
Enduata Camps employs local staff, sources materials from Arusha, and donates a portion of its profits to conservation and community activities. Rates at Wild Wakati Camp start at $510 per person per night during the green season, and packages include accommodation, meals, drinks and safari activities.
