A healthy, gut-balancing, light mango sorbet recipe that's perfect for a summer afternoon or as a naturally sweet, low-sugar dessert.

Have you ever thought that desserts can actually improve your gut health?
All you need is a homemade fruit butter lightly cultured and enriched with probiotics and enzymes.
One of my favorite condiments transformed into a healthy, sweet treat is fermented mango butter.
Simply add 2 1/2 cups of filtered water to 1 pint of fermented mango fruit butter and process in a food processor until smooth.
If you like, you can add raw honey to the mixture before whisking to add some natural sweetness.
Place the mixed ingredients in an ice cream maker and churn for 25 minutes to create a delicious cultured sorbet that you can enjoy!
This is my trusted ice cream maker that I have used for 20 years. The only caveat to all the models I have researched is that you should only use wooden utensils to scrape out the frozen dessert!!
Fermented fruit sorbet is a healthy snack for kids in the summer!
If you try this recipe and love it as much as our family does, try our other fermented fruit butters!

A healthy, gut-balancing, light mango sorbet recipe, perfect for summer and a naturally sweet, low-sugar dessert.
guideline
In a food processor, process the mango butter, filtered water, and optional natural honey until smooth.
Pour the mango butter and water mixture into the ice cream maker.
Whisk for 25 minutes (or follow the directions for your specific model).
Place the mango sorbet in your preferred container. I use a medium-sized glass bowl with a tight-fitting lid instead of a regular plastic ice cream container.
Enjoy the mango sorbet right away or freeze the rest.
