Fontana Forni was founded in 1946 by Giuseppe Fontana, the eldest of nine children, in the heart of the Marche region, a land of proud and passionate traditions. Now three generations of the Fontana Forni family lead the company, maintaining the founder’s dedication and original concept with 100% Italian-made craftsmanship and design.
Fontana Forni currently employs 28 high-quality artisans and is headed by Giovanni, Marco, Alessandro and Nicola Fontana. The Fontana range is proud to be synonymous with the only wood-burning ovens on the market today, combining the best of ancient Italian craftsmanship with the best of modern technology that offers convenience and sophistication.
In 1991, the Laing family lived near Florence and developed a deep affection for Italy. During their time there, they learned to love the culture, language, food and people. Upon returning to the United States, they very quickly realized that they were not the only ones who appreciated high-quality Italian handcrafts. So in 1998, the family started Tuscan Imports, a business specializing in importing products from Italy.
In 2008, the Laings discovered the Fontana Forni pizza oven. Soon after, they began a distribution partnership and became the sole North American distributor of their products under the name Fontana Forni USA.
