Former British political aide Steve Hilton has told the BBC he will run for another term as governor of California.

He added that ballot measures for voter ID, which are popular with Republican voters, could help increase voter turnout. Hilton said he has seen no evidence of voter fraud in the state, but has called for election reforms, including ending the practice of mailing ballots to California’s 23 million registered voters. This is a practice that primarily results in a decline in the state’s vote count.
