friday polo It’s the longest-lasting product PS has ever released, but over the past few years I’ve found myself wearing it differently than I used to. Although designed to blend well with tailoring, they are now more often worn loose and loose.
Maybe it’s just a niche in my closet. Clothes that are easy to take out are especially good in the summer. And it’s something I carry with me constantly, like Lucas, when I travel now.
This was especially impressive because when I was in LA recently, it actually took me right by the pool. We stayed at the Chateau Marmont, and when we returned from our day’s engagements, we would often go for a swim and then go for a drink at the bar across the courtyard. (I know it’s hard work, but someone has to do it.)
Okay, actually we usually stopped by the room to get hats, books and other things from the pool. But polo itself has effectively been converted. I could wear black polo shorts and cigarette shorts (this color combination) Then replace the shorts with linen pants as shown below.
Versatility has always been a big selling point for Permanent Style, and I think that’s probably because we deal with so many readers who are embarking on their own fashion journeys and therefore value clothes that play more than one role. Maybe these things are all expensive, so it might help justify the spending.
Either way, versatility is an important part of the Friday Polo’s appeal, and we’ve used the photos here to show it off in the three colors in stock today: black, brown, and light yellow.
The navy and white Friday polo has been around for a long time and I’m sure many of our readers already own one by now. But black is my favorite color instead of navy. Because it looks very elegant in the evening and goes well with tanning on the beach.
Brown is perhaps the most unexpected summer color. However, Lucas particularly likes Brown the most and believes he is very versatile. This is because brown is softer than black and goes well with not only neutral colors such as gray and navy, but also various colors such as green and beige.
Lucas is wearing his clothes here in two combinations. One is more standard and one is more unusual.
The more standard outfit above is a pair of beige shorts (straps; From Buck Mason). Even more unusual are the jeans in a different shade of brown (below, from Taillor).
just like we did I told you beforeMixing different shades of a single color into the main part of an outfit isn’t easy, but when done well, it can be satisfying. This is pretty much the definition of the first step towards luxury dressing.
I love the brown contrast Lucas has with his black belt and black shoes and white t-shirt.
Wearing a t-shirt underneath your Friday polo may be a little counterintuitive, but it feels delightfully sporty and preppy. And it adds a little warmth, making the product even more versatile.
Still, my favorite color so far is light yellow.
Yellow isn’t easy to get right. For example, we have been looking for good yellow cashmere for a long time, but without success. But the yellow PS Oxford shirt is too pale for me, and so is this version of the Friday polo.
It’s so pale you could almost call it cream, but light yellow or pale yellow would be more accurate. It definitely looks a bit more yellow than I thought. Oxford.
This yellow goes especially well with blue denim, and that’s my favorite way to wear it. However, in casual mode, it looks great with shorts or with beige, navy, green, and brown. It has that washed-out, upper-class vibe that’s at the heart of many Ivy looks, and has actually become more trendy in recent years as an ‘old money’ style.
In tailoring, I like light yellow, light green or navy under a gray jacket. This is especially great in a gorgeous navy cotton harrington.
Friday Polo is in stock In addition to black, brown, and pale yellow, the existing colors navy and white were also added. In the photo, I am wearing a size medium, and Lucas is wearing a size double x large.
