Prevent your screen from going dark
- One (12 ounce) bag Frozen Passion Fruit Puree (Seedless // We Love Pitaya // 12-ounce bag yields ~1 ½ cups)
- 1/4 cup mezcal (We like the Madre or Del Maguey brands // they ensure vegan friendly products depending on your needs)
- 2 table spoon Agave nectar* (Honey may also work)
- One middle Blood oranges or navel oranges, juiced (Save the peel after juicing. One orange yields approximately 1/4 to 1/3 cup or 60 to 80 ml.)
- sea salt (optional(for glass rim)
Place passionfruit, mezcal, agave, and orange juice in a blender and blend until creamy. Taste and adjust by adding more sweetness/strength of alcohol to your liking.
To rim the serving glasses, add 1 tablespoon of salt to a small plate. Place the remaining orange halves (or lime wedges) around the rim of the glass, lightly rimming the glass with the juice, then immediately turn the glass over and dip in the salt.
Divide into glasses and enjoy! Leftovers will keep for 1-2 days, but will not be “slushy”. You can also freeze it into ice cubes to mix again later.
