I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. Obligatory dinner dates and expensive roses were never my cup of tea. I prefer to stay home and open a bottle of wine without the 90 minute table time. But Valentine’s Day? That’s a concept I can get behind. Any chance you could get all dolled up and have a “ladies having lunch” moment with the gals? Yes, please! I invited eight of my favorite blogger girls to the rooftop of the Waldorf Astoria. We enjoyed a complete 3-course meal with panoramic views of the city and the ocean! (Perhaps) bottomless rosé and an afternoon full of laughter.
If you’re a foodie like me, you’re probably wondering what’s on the menu. We enjoyed starters family style of buttery burrata, pistachio guacamole and savory tuna tartare. We then had the main course, which included a truffle cheeseburger, grilled salmon, grilled chicken, Bolognese ragu, and my personal favorite, a lobster burger. For dessert we stuffed ourselves with three snacks! Gingerbread cake, pomegranate sorbet and various cookies. The meal was truly amazing, each bite better than the last. If you haven’t tried Rooftop by JG Restaurant, I highly recommend it for a romantic date night, a girls’ night out, or even special occasions and events (it would be so perfect for a bridal shower!). Whatever the situation, we know you’ll enjoy the food, drinks, and scenery.
Thanks for stopping by!
