Black Friday may get all the media attention, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait until November to get the best deals. If you want to get an early start on your holiday shopping, there are plenty of sales you can get your hands on in October.

And these aren’t just any events. This month, four major retailers are offering storewide discounts: Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days (the second Prime Day event of the year), Target’s Circle Week (the third and final of its kind), Walmart Deals (the second of its kind), and Best Buy’s 48-hour Flash Sale. What kind of price drops will these discount events bring? Read on for the key details and dates.

The Best (Pre) Black Friday Sales to Shop in October

Who knows? This year, you might even be able to walk into Halloween with all your Christmas presents bought and wrapped. (You can dream, right?)

Target Circle State

Target’s seasonal Circle Week is a great time to scoop up bargain holiday items in stores and online, and this year, shoppers can expect prices up to 50% off. more Holiday deals. So keep an eye out for discounts on stocking stuffers, seasonal decorations, gifts, and holiday food and drink collections. The 7-day sale is available to Target Circle members only, but it’s easy enough to sign up for the free loyalty program on Target.com or in the Target app.

What will be sold?:

There will also be price cuts in several other departments. Here are some highlights:

• Toys from Disney, Lego, and FAO Schwarz. (More than half of Target’s holiday toys are under $20.)
• PapaToi’s Beauty Gift Set, Being French & Finely.
• Marks & Spencer has launched a new food and drink gift set.
• Various “Wicked” related items.
• A new Bullseye shopping section selling Target brand gifts (most are under $25)

Each day of Target Circle Week features a daily special, starting November 1 and continuing throughout the season.

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days

For the third year in a row, Amazon is kicking off the gift-buying season with its Prime Big Deal Days event. The event kicks off at 12:01 a.m. PDT. As the name suggests, it’s open to Amazon Prime members only, but anyone can sign up for a 30-day free trial. New deals will be available sitewide and in every department, including Home, Electronics, Fashion & Beauty, Toys, Kitchen, and Amazon Devices, up to every five minutes throughout the 48-hour event.

What will be sold?:

Here are some specific sales you can expect:

• Barbie, Squishmallow, Play-Doh, Disney toys.
• Beauty products from Clinique and Too Faced.
• Florentine fashion presented by Mills, Cider and Aeropostale.
• Home interiors at NEST New York, Lenox, Lodge.

Best Buy 48 Hour Flash Sale

Amazon’s Prime Day event is always competitive, and Best Buy is up there once again. The electronics retailer is holding a 48-hour flash sale that coincides with Amazon’s Big Deal Days. So before you click “buy” on your TV, gaming device, laptop, monitor, or other tech gadget on Amazon, check the price at Best Buy in-store or online. You might find it cheaper there. And you don’t have to be a store loyalty member to get the discount. (Best Buy is having its own members-only sale in September.)

What will be sold?:

There are a few more sales and special events coming up at Best Buy this month. Here are some highlights:

• Apple Trade-Up Event, September 30 – October 13

Trade in your old Apple Watch, iPhone, MacBook, iPad or iMac and get a discount on the latest version. If you’re a member of a paid loyalty program (My Best Buy Plus or My Best Buy Total), you can get a 10% discount. more Trade-in for certain Apple products.

• Get ready for the holiday event starting October 21st

Best Buy’s holiday shopping deals start the third week of October, giving you early access to savings on appliances, smart home devices, and other home appliances.

• A three-day gaming event starting October 25th.

Get discounts on game consoles, software, and accessories during the last weekend of October. This special sale is a promotion to celebrate the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Walmart Holiday Deals Event

Not to be outdone by Amazon, Walmart is launching its own event, Walmart Holiday Deals, on October 8. It’s time to shop thousands of sales across the store. You’ll find slashed prices across every department, including holiday items, home goods, fashion, beauty, electronics, and toys.

Popular items tend to sell out quickly during these limited-time sales, so it’s a good idea to jump in early. This is where being a Walmart+ member really pays off, as you’ll get 12 hours of access before everyone else.

Here’s how it works: For Walmart+ members, the event begins online (Walmart.com or the Walmart app) on October 8 at 12 a.m. ET. Everyone else can start the online deal at 12 p.m. ET. If you don’t want to pay shipping, you can pick up your purchases at your local Walmart using the retailer’s free store delivery program. The event begins in stores for all customers the following day (October 9).

What will be sold?:

This is a great time to take advantage of the competition between Walmart and Amazon, as each store is looking to attract customers with the lowest prices. Think of brands like LEGO, BISSELL, and Apple. Here are some items that are known to be discounted:
