The 8base ransomware gang is a financial motivated hacking group that was first observed in 2022. The group, which is connected by security experts with the Ransom House robbery group, is famous for using double liquid tactics to expose sensitive information by criminals to expose sensitive information. Victims do not pay ransom demand.
In 2023, the US government warned that the 8Base gang focused on the “indiscriminate goals” for various sectors across the United States, including medical care. The gang also insisted on a cyber attack on last year’s UN development program.
In the message of the Dark web leak site before the take -down this week, 8base described himself as “honest and simple Pentis.” Like many Clop Ransomware Gang, 8base insisted on “organizations that ignore the personal information and importance of employees and customers’ data.”
8base is known to use a variety of ransomware strains, including Phobos. Last year, the US government secured the guidance of Russian hackers accused of Russian hackers.
