Google’s AI -based chatbot, Gemini, is now connected to Github. Users who have joined the $ 20 Gemini Advanced Plan per month.
As of Wednesday, Gemini Advanced customers can add GitHub’s disclosure or personal codebase directly to Gemini to explain the chatbot, explain the code, explain the existing code, and to debug the existing code. The user can click the “+” button in the prompt bar, select “Import the Code” and attach the Github URL to connect to Gethini to GitHub.
A word of warning: The AI model, including Google, is still having a hard time coding quality software. Code generation AI tends to introduce security vulnerabilities and errors due to weaknesses in the same area, such as the ability to understand programming logic. Devin’s recent evaluation, a popular AI coding tool, has found that only three of the 20 programming tests can be completed.
The new GitHub integration arrives a few days after Openai launched a Github connector for CHATGPT Deep Research. WATGPT Deep Research, a tool for writing a thorough research report on the topic by searching other sources through the web. AI companies, including Google and Openai, are moving quickly to send new features to make the product stand out in more and more crowded areas.
