“Julen Lopetegui has been unanimously confirmed by the board to take over as West Ham manager. If you speak to some fans, they are a bit disappointed with the appointment. Now that he is gone, you would think there would be some difficulties. Pressure on Steidten.
“They spent over £100m in the summer and he was the centerpiece of that signing. By definition, the first few weeks were a bit of a failure because Lopetegui left and you can see what it would have been like in the transfer market.
“Looking ahead to this transfer window, I think it will be really interesting to look further into what deals West Ham are dealing with and their sporting director.”
