How to Make Baked General Tso’s Chicken

The magic of this General Tso Chicken recipe is how simple it is. Taking a few extra minutes to brown the chicken first will make it golden and crispy and even more irresistible. Mix it with sauce and you have a takeout-like dinner!

  1. Cut the chicken and coat it in the egg: Preheat oven to 350°F, then spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl. Crack the egg over the chicken and massage it with your hands to coat the chicken.
  2. Add cornstarch: Transfer the chicken to a ziplock bag.. Add cornstarch, seal the bag, and toss to coat. well.
