Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Ingredients

- For chicken breast: For faster and more even cooking, pound the chicken to an even thickness or cut the breasts in half lengthwise.
- Try chicken thighs: Boneless or bone-in chicken thighs are also great for this recipe. Please note that baking time may vary.
- Homemade Teriyaki: I prefer homemade teriyaki sauce. However, bottled products have little effect.
How to Make Grilled Teriyaki Chicken
This teriyaki chicken recipe brings a lot of flavor to your dinner table with little effort! In just 10 minutes of preparation, the marinade creates juicy, flavorful chicken. Serve with grilled corn, grilled pineapple, or any other favorite summer side dish.
- Marinade: Place the chicken breasts in a medium bowl and pour the teriyaki sauce over them. Reserve 1/4 cup of sauce for later. Cover and marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes and up to 24 hours.
- grill: Preheat grill to high heat. Place chicken on grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until it reaches 155°F. Remove chicken from grill and cover loosely with foil. Take a break for 5-10 minutes. The temperature continues to rise to 165°F to keep the chicken juicy and tender.
- Season to taste and serve: Apply the prepared teriyaki sauce to the chicken, slice and serve.
