Grossglockner’s murder sent ripples through the climbing community

Most accidents that occur while climbing are due to ‘poor planning’, says Matt Cooper, member of the Welsh mountain rescue team and founder of the Mountaineering Company. He says these include not having the proper clothing and equipment, such as crampons or ice axes, not checking and fully understanding the weather forecast, which may indicate wind speeds are too strong, and not sailing properly.
