Helix Dusk Elite Delivery and Setup
Helix says Elite mattresses typically ship within 5 to 10 business days. Ours arrived in 5 days which I was impressed with. Sold as a ‘mattress in a box’ the Elite mattresses ships in 2 boxes rather than 1 because of how thick and premium the construction is, but the fact that it still arrives compressed and boxed makes the whole thing significantly easier than traditional mattress delivery.
You’ll want either a dolly or a second person to move the boxes as they’re easy to fit through doorways but heavy! If you don’t have either of those, Helix Sleep does offer in-home set up and removal in certain zip codes. Also, plan to be home when it arrives because Helix Sleep recommends not leaving it compressed in the plastic roll for more than a couple of weeks.
Unboxing and setup took us under 30 minutes and that included me filming on three different cameras for the YouTube review and trying to keep the cat out the way as he loves plastic! If you’re not simultaneously making content, you should be significantly faster!
Helix Dusk Elite review: Advanced GlacioTex Elite Cooling – Does It Actually Work?
The GlacioTex Elite cooling cover is built directly into the pillow top of every Elite mattress. It’s not an optional upgrade, it’s not just a marketing claim, and it frequently comes up in search results for the best mattresses for hot sleepers. It’s a phase change fabric that is genuinely cool to the touch from the moment you get into bed, and it actively draws heat away from your body throughout the night.
I noticed the difference from night one. My husband didn’t get up once to adjust the AC and I didn’t wake up soaked with night sweats, which has been a nightly occurrence for months. The cooling effect is real, immediate and worked from the very first night.
