Liquid stevia extract is a relatively easy tincture at home. It is also a cheap alternative to the buying version! We like homemade stevia extracts that we like to put smoothies and cheese cakes, but it also tastes good in coffee and sweet cars!
If you grow your stevia, you can preserve fresh leaves to create the most powerful extract. This is my default stevia recipe and is suitable for children and pregnant women since the alcohol was cooked.
I can get dried stevia leaves here or preserve my own.
What is Stevia and how to use it
Pure Stevia (Stevia Rebaudiana) is a sweet taste and no sugar that adds food and drinks. It is much lower in the blood sugar index compared to other sweeteners such as maple syrup and sugar. The plant itself can have a slightly bitter aftertaste, so the company has made a highly stylish white powder.
This store is a concentrated and sophisticated version of Stevinol Glycoside, which is responsible for the sweetness of Stevia. They process Stevia as GMO microorganisms to create a fine white stevia powder. Stevia has gained popularity as a substitute for sugar, but not all brands are the same.
Many people include additives and fillers such as MaltodextRin, erythritol, dextrose and other artificial sweeteners. However, some liquid stevia brands, such as Sweet Leaf, have quite clean ingredients.
Stevia is more than just sweeteners. Researchers are studying Stevia and are compounds for health benefits. Stevia reduces high blood pressure, promotes healthier weight, insulin support and anti -diabetes effect, and is an antioxidant. In addition, research has been studied as an antimicrobial role and helping to fight lime bottles. A glass of sugar can’t be the same!

Put it in a place where you can see the extract and shake occasionally for 36 hours.

Using a cheese cloth or a fine mesh strainer with a coffee filter, the liquid is deformed in a small pot.
-
Turn the heat low and boil low. Do not boil when ruining the taste !!!

Growing Stevia
Stevia is carried out well in a warm climate that does not fall below 45 degrees. If you do not live in the tropical environment, you can grow the Stevia plant in the summer. Clear windows also work!
Use of freshly, dried stevia
I often have fresh stevia in the garden and I use it to make homemade stevia extract. The dried stevia leaves also work well, but you need to adjust the recipe. Dry leaves absorb more water from alcohol, so filling the jar with 1/2. When using fresh stevia leaves, fill the jar with about 2/3. Making your own stevia extract is more like art than science!
The same place as Amazon sells powdered stevia leaves (not processed white stuff). However, powder Stevia prefers to make stevia sweeteners using leaves caught in cut and sieve because it is much more difficult to deform.
