Microbial and chemical hazards dominate food incidents likely to affect Hong Kong in 2025, according to a new report from the Center for Food Safety (CFS).

The Food Incident Surveillance System (FISS) monitors issues outside Hong Kong that could potentially impact domestic food safety.

In 2025, CFS detected 5,300 accidents through FISS, the same as in 2024.
