You can’t leave the house without grooming your eyebrows, and eyebrow makeup is an essential part of your daily makeup routine. I’ve tried a variety of products including brow powders, gels, and pencils, but recently I’ve started liking brow pencils more than any other type. My favorite product is Brow Wiz by Anastasia Beverly Hills. But I recently got a chance to try HOURGLASS’ Arch Brow Micro Sculpting Pencil and Shaping Gel. I had heard a lot about their eyebrow products so I was excited to try them.
Based on my first impressions of the quality and packaging, I’d say it was attractive and bougie. I loved the metallic look of the chocolate brown.
I also like that the brow gel is clear, making it easier to apply without having to apply it to the skin. Additionally, the shape of the wand itself is the perfect size for each eyebrow hair. It dries quickly and keeps your eyebrows in place all day.
I use this brow pencil before applying the gel, it helps cover up sparse areas of my eyebrows. I received the blackish brown ash color. The attached spoolie helps comb out eyebrow hairs and blend the product well.
This brow pencil is faithful to the color and has excellent pigmentation. Additionally, the beveled tip allows for the perfect shape I want. The formula itself also lasts quite a long time.
Overall, I am very satisfied with both products. However, the retail price is quite high, so it’s highly unlikely that I’ll buy it myself, even though I can get it from other brands like Benefit or ABH for a lower price. However, if you don’t care about the cost and want to try something new, choose this as you won’t fail.
