The United States and Israel launched attacks across Iran on Saturday, and U.S. President Donald Trump later said Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Khamenei’s compound in Tehran was destroyed in a “forceful and surprise attack.”
Iranian state media later confirmed Khamenei’s death.
In response to the US-Israeli attack, Iran launched missiles and drones towards Israel and four Gulf Arab states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and UAE) where US military bases are located.
