You'll also get exclusive member-only discounts and early access to upcoming products before they're released to the general public.
How to get invited: Walmart's Spark Review Program
Walmart regularly selects potential Spark Reviewers from people who review products on its site. One participant, Mina Dior, explained how she was selected in a TikTok post.
“In my free time… whenever I bought something, if I liked it, I would leave a review,” Dior said. She explained that it could be something as small as a bath bomb, a candle or a blanket. “(Walmart) actually reached out to me and said, ‘Do you want to be a Walmart Spark reviewer?’” It was something very small, and she said it was “really rewarding.”
How to increase your chances of getting an invitation
Create an account at walmart.com and enter your email, phone number, and address. Then, when you purchase a product in-store or online, write a review of your purchase. If you want Walmart to notice you, give an honest review of every product you buy. There are a few ways to do this.
- Go to the product detail page on walmart.com and scroll down to “Customer Ratings & Reviews.” Click “Write a Review.”
- Go to your account page, then go to “Purchase History”, then “Order Details”. When the item you purchased appears, click the “Write a Review” button under the item name and photo.
- Go to your computer browser and enter the survey link on your store receipt.
Dos and Don'ts of Writing Reviews
The quantity of reviews is important (as many as possible!) quality The most important thing is to follow our product review guidelines closely. Write a positive, detailed, concise, and fair review of your purchase.
Negative reviews won't disqualify you, but use common sense when writing reviews.
- Don't say, “The designers of this coffee machine clearly didn't use any brains when they came up with this model.”
- Say, “This coffee machine took more than 5 minutes to warm up, which I think is too long.”
Provide tips that may help other customers.
- If you're writing about a cleaning product, briefly describe how easy it is to use, what it smells like, and how effective it is.
- If you're writing about shoes or clothing, tell us if they fit true to size or if customers should order a size larger or smaller. How do they compare in style and comfort to similar items from other brands?
- When writing about a product, limit your complaints about shipping issues to one or two lines. Focus on your comments about the item itself.
What Walmart's Spark Reviewers Got for Free
When you receive an invitation to join the program, Walmart will include a questionnaire about your shopping preferences. Please complete the questionnaire and email it back to us. Your information will be added to our database and you will be notified when products that match your preferences become available.
“If I see something I like, I just ask for it and they send it to me,” Dior said in a TikTok video. “I just write a little paragraph, take a picture, and that’s it.”
The free samples come in a wide range of departments, from toys to furniture and everything in between. “I’ve been a (Spark Reviewer) for 3 years now,” TikTok user Karrie commented on Dior’s post. “I have the couch, the (computer) and the vacuum cleaner. I love it!”
Here are two products Spark Reviewers have posted on social media:
Wonder Treat Gift Basket

“This Wondertreats basket is perfect for a little car lover this Easter!” wrote Spark Reviewer thecheapsubscriber. “The basket doubles as a playmat to go with the cars. There isn’t a lot of candy, but I don’t think it’s a problem since I don’t want the kids to eat too much candy.” The Wondertreats gift basket would have cost her $20 if she had bought it in the store.
Bunk bed for mountaineering
“My kids absolutely love the P'kolino Curva Rattan Loft/Bunk Bed,” writes Spark Reviewer Kelly Butler of mamabearseviews . “This bed was pretty easy to build. My 12-year-old daughter and I put it together ourselves. It can be used as a bunk bed or a loft bed. The low profile makes it great for rooms with low ceilings where other bunk beds or loft beds wouldn’t fit. It’s made of sturdy, solid wood. It has bed rails and a built-in ladder for safety.” This bunk bed retails for about $350.
Cons of being a Walmart Spark reviewer
While receiving free items is a fantastic perk, Walmart expects reviewers to keep their share of the deal. According to Commerce Canal, participants must provide at least four high-quality reviews per month to maintain their status.
And you need to respond to emails with review opportunities promptly, otherwise someone else will get them first. “I miss out on a lot of great stuff because I don’t check my email as often as I should,” Dior said in a TikTok post. “They send me emails at least two or three times a month to review, but I get up early in the morning. I try to wake up and check my email because if you keep doing it, it’s going to reward you.”
And this is one of those clubs that is worth keeping your membership in. After all, just writing a paragraph or two about yourself is enough. free This item is a pretty good deal!
