I wasn’t sure if it would suit me and I didn’t want to add another step to my makeup routine. This is one of those makeup products that takes a while to figure out, but is quick and easy to use once you know how. Pro tip: Always apply a generous amount of product to your brush and then apply light dots.
The basics of how to create fake freckles with Freck OG are to copy and paste by stamping, dotting, and tapping with your index finger. Watch the video for the full tutorial. I think a lot about this and that because the desired effect is personal. However, if it gets too heavy, it can be easily removed with a cotton swab or wet sponge. If it’s too light, add more.
To create long-lasting, natural fake freckles, I prefer a shiny look without setting powder to prevent the shine from becoming dull. So I used Freck Face Hack setting spray instead.

As mentioned earlier, it takes a bit of fiddling to get the desired effect, but once you get going, it’s a fun beauty product to play with. Another drawback is size. The tube is small unless you buy size XL! So, if you like the look of fake freckles or want to highlight your own freckles, this method is worth a try. I recommend starting with the Freck OG, testing it out, and buying a larger size if you like it.
On the bright side, Freck Beauty is vegan, doesn’t test on animals, doesn’t use parabens, and offers great skincare benefits! I know it doesn’t cover my face, but I’m glad to know that Damascan rose water hydrates and soothes my skin. Especially if you’ve had a long day in the sun.
