How to Take Advantage of Your Birthday Offer with Seasonal Sales at Sephora
As a Beauty Insider, you can receive a free birthday gift in-store without making a purchase. Higher-tier Insiders (VIB and Rouge levels) have a wider range of gift options to choose from. You can also claim your free gift online at checkout, but you must spend at least $25 to do so.
But before you head to the store or site, check out the list below to find out when Sephora has a sale during your birthday month. If you see a product you like on sale, you can skip the pre-determined gift and choose 250 Rewards points instead. This will add points to your existing points count and potentially get you to the 500 points needed to get an additional $10 off your sale purchase.
January birthday
Head to Ulta for the first three weeks of this month to take advantage of discounts on skin care, shampoos, and conditioners. There are two events happening during this period. The Love Your Skin event is a mix of Daily Beauty Steals (sold for half off the store’s most popular skin care products on select days of the week) and weekly 30% off deals on dozens of other products. The Jumbo Love event is your chance to save up to 45% on liter-size versions of popular shampoos and conditioners.
Head to Sephora for the first two weeks of this month for the Sephora Skincare Sale, where the store will be offering 50% off a different skincare brand each day (and they’re usually expensive brands like Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clinique, and Kiehl’s).
February birthday
Head to Ulta around February 19th. It's National Lash Day. Last year, Ulta offered 30% off select mascaras and eyelashes all week long. If you get a birthday gift and stock up on eyelash products, you'll get double the rewards points.

Stop by Ulta during weeks 2 and 3 This is the time of the month when retailers run their Spring Haul Events. Not only will you get a birthday treat, but you’ll also have the chance to score discounts on some of the most popular brands in makeup, hair care, and skin care.
During the second week of every month at Sephora, Beauty Insiders can participate in the Sephora Savings Event, which includes discounts on products throughout the store (the amount of discount varies depending on your rewards tier) and a 30% discount on Sephora Collection items for Beauty Insiders at all tiers. You can also earn more rewards points than usual on purchases, depending on your tier.
May birthday
Visit Ulta during the last two weeks of this month to take advantage of the Ulta Member Love Event. Not only will you receive a birthday gift, but Ulta Beauty Rewards members will also earn 10x reward points on select purchases.
Visit Sephora the first week of May or Memorial Day weekend. In early May, the retailer will be launching its Oh Hair Yeah! sale, offering up to 50% off hair care products. You can also earn triple rewards points on fragrances. And during the long holiday weekend, there will be discounts on items throughout the store.
June birthday
Stop by Ulta during the last week of June to get your birthday treat. Shop for brand-name shampoos and conditioners in the Jumbo Love Sale. This sale also coincides with Ulta’s Summer Love Sale, which offers up to 50% off summer skin care. There are also BOGO deals on makeup.
Just because you're visiting Sephora this month doesn't mean you're guaranteed a sale. However, you can claim your gift up to 14 days before or after your actual birthday.
