Shakira performed her biggest hits to a packed crowd at a free concert on Saturday night at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro.

However, a previous BBC-verified analysis of a Lady Gaga concert at Copacabana Beach in 2025 found that these crowd numbers were likely inflated.
The ‘Todo Mundo no Rio’ mega-concert was funded by the city as part of an effort to boost the local economy, with officials estimating the event would generate around 800 million reais (£118 million) in revenue for Brazil.
