They say that no matter how good or bad in the game, they will present a clutch moment that changes everything. Mikey Lewis once again created a protagonist when he sent a conversion to the Hull KR challenge cup.
Up to 77 minutes, the Challenge Cup final was not a vintage Lewis performance.
He had a great moment like the goal line dropout that Arron Lindop could not deal with, but knocked on his attempt line and balanced it.
Until 77 minutes, he was experiencing the afternoon roller coaster, and height and the lowest level began the game.
Then Tom Davies scored a finger tip from the ball and scored a try and brought the game to 6-6, and it was falling to Lewis for the first time since the first half.
He did it and the pain without 40 years of trophy disappeared. Robin finally added a product to the empty cabinet since 1985.
In addition to the Challenge Cup, the Man of Steel did not perform a goalkeeping on his club, and Arthur Mourge did not play a role after moving to Catalonia de Dragon.
Surprisingly, he believes that he did not practice with his feet but believes in it at that moment.
“I did a lot of work last year and I practiced a lot last year. I thought it was not the best for me,” he said.
“When I had to be cold, when Rhyse (Martin) was injured, I told him,” I will not practice. “He at first I couldn’t believe it.
“In the Challenge Cup semi -finals, I just got well and I just believed.”
And will he go down to his biggest kick in his life?
“Yes, 100%. I lived with it for a long time.”
Lewis now focuses on keeping the legacy that brought NO 6 Jersey from retirement in the club.
“That’s a lot of things, we have acquired the legacy we have long, not only the 17 guys who played today, but all of the squads, employees, and the board.
“I want to overcome everything at this point. It’s hard to say, but it’s easy to say. It’s a bit cliché, but I want it.”
