Hurricane Erin strengthened the category 4 storms, threatening life -threatening surfing and current to the eastern coast of the United States.
Rain from the storm has already begun to reach the southeast of Bahama, Turk and Kaicoes.
ERIN is not expected to land on the island, but it is expected to bring up to 6 inches (15.2 cm) of rainfall to Türkiye, Kaikos and Eastern Bahama.
Erin, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season in 2025, lost his strength and restored his strength for a while with the category 5 storm that “explosive and strengthened” on Saturday.
As of Monday (Tuesday at 1 am) local time, the storm packed the maximum wind of 130 mph (210 km/h) when passing east of Bahama.
In Turkey and Kaikos, overseas British territory, the authorities have ordered public services on the largest island and instructed residents in vulnerable areas to evacuate.
BBC Weather’s chief speaker Helen Willetts says Hurricane Erin is now “main storm”.
“At this stage, it is not expected to be hit directly on the land, but it will lead to a significant amount of rain, leading to flooding floods, floods of coastal floods due to storm tsunamis, wind damage and dangerous lip current,” she added.
“We have already seen heavy rain in Puerto Rico (24 hours 82mm) and 62.3mm.”
According to local energy firm Luma, more than 150,000 people remained in Puerto Rico after the strong winds were damaged.
However, the company said it carried out emergency repairs and said that 95%of customers used electricity until Sunday evening.
Hurricane’s external non -bands began to affect Bahama, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
The storm is unlikely to be hit directly on the island, but the disaster risk management authorities in the country were encouraged to prepare.
Aarone Sargent, a managing director, told Bahamians to check which shelter is the closest shelter and see if he knows the alternative shelter when the first shelter is full.
“These storms are very fluctuating and suddenly the movement can move.”
The NHC prediction is to pass the core of Erin to the east of the southeastern Bahama and move between Bermuda and the eastern coast of the United States.
Erin also said it would remain “big and dangerous hurricane” during this time.
External banks, the island of the North Carolina coast, are already brace for heavy surfing and high winds.
The authorities have ordered an essential evacuation of Hatteras Island and warned that the main highway that connects Hatteras to other islands can be impossible.
The predictors also warned of dangerous lip assistants that could affect the entire coast of the United States.
