Landmarks around the world, including the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, turned off their lights for one hour at 20:30 (local time) on Saturday night to mark Earth Hour.
Hosted by the World Wide Fund for Nature, the global event is held annually to raise environmental awareness.
The event, which aims to encourage people to turn off lights for 60 minutes, first started in Sydney, Australia in 2007.
