Iditarod sled dog race ends with Jessie Holmes winning streak

Jessie Holmes has won her second consecutive Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Nome, Alaska. The former reality TV star completed the 1,000-mile (1,609 km) course in 9 days, 7 hours, and 32 minutes.

This year’s winner, Holmes, received $80,000 in prize money. He also swept all the special prizes along the trail, earning an additional $5,500 in cash and $4,500 in gold nuggets.

Holmes has competed every year since making her Iditarod debut in 2018, earning five top-10 finishes in addition to two wins.
