One person died and eight others were injured when the roof collapsed at Delhi airport due to heavy rain.
Online footage shows a massive pillar supporting the roof of a parked car in Terminal 1 of the airport crashing into the ground.
Airport authorities said all flights departing from the terminal were suspended until further notice.
The incident occurred at 05:00 (23:30 GMT on Thursday).
“The cause of the collapse is being investigated, but heavy rain over the past several hours appears to be the main culprit,” airport officials said.
Officials said the incident resulted in damage to four vehicles and eight people suffering minor injuries.
India's aviation regulator has advised airlines to accommodate passengers on alternative flights or offer refunds.
The incident disrupted the travel plans of thousands of people as most domestic flights took off from Terminal 1.
Some airlines have diverted their flights to the airport's two remaining terminals.
Delhi International Airport authorities said a technical committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the accident.
They added: “We are working with all relevant agencies to assess the situation and restore operations.”
