The arrival of a new season is a great time to make a few changes to your home design. With fall just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to freshen up your space.
According to interior designer Sallie Lord of GreyHunt Interiors, here are some of the key design trends we're seeing for fall:
- The first is a change in color. “We’re moving away from cool colors and toward warm colors of creams, beiges, ambers and rich, deep tones,” she says.
- We’re also seeing major fashion trends make their way into our homes. “A quiet luxury that mixes patterns and textures is the new must-have, and there’s a growing emphasis on sustainable design,” Lord shares.
- Incorporating vintage furniture into your home is the perfect way to repurpose treasures from the past to promote sustainability, and it also helps bring your home into line with other trends. “Mixing old and new to create a classic aesthetic is a huge trend right now,” says Lord.
