In 2025, nearly 10,000 complaints and inquiries were addressed through the Food Safety Authority of Ireland’s (FSAI) advice line.
According to FSAI, 6,135 complaints were received from consumers, of which 33% were about unsuitable food and 28% were about poor hygiene standards.
