Is it too rainy for your Jamaican vacation? JetBlue will send you $500.

Is it too rainy for your Jamaican vacation? JetBlue will send you 0.

If you’re booking Jamaica and wondering what the weather forecast will be like, JetBlue Vacations has new answers. If it rains more than promised, you will receive $500 back.

JetBlue Vacations has partnered with the Jamaica Tourist Board and WeatherPromise to launch its first-ever “Great Weather Guarantee” for Jamaica vacation packages. When you book an eligible flight + hotel package, coverage is automatically included at no additional cost.

If rainfall during your trip exceeds a preset threshold, you will receive $500.

How to Qualify

You must book your Jamaica flight + hotel package through JetBlue Vacations between March 1 and May 31, 2026. Trips must be completed by December 1, 2026 and length of stay must be between 3 and 16 nights. Additionally, you must begin your trip at least 7 days after booking.

When you lock your package, the Great Weather Guarantee is included in your reservation. You don’t add it. You don’t pay extra for it.

After booking, you will have access to a personalized dashboard outlining your coverage. The system uses data analytics, satellite imagery and radar technology to continuously monitor weather conditions during your stay. Each trip has its own rainfall threshold depending on travel dates and destination in Jamaica.

You will be notified when rainfall exceeds that threshold. Here you can choose how you would like to receive your $500 payment.

JetBlue Vacations first partnered with WeatherPromise in 2025 to introduce rain protection on its flight + hotel packages. With this Jamaica-specific launch, the company says it is the first airline vacation brand to integrate destination-based weather coverage directly into its vacation packages.

Impact on travel to Jamaica

If you’re heading to Jamaica to enjoy white-sand beaches, jerk chicken by the water, and late-night reggae music in Montego Bay, you already know that a brief tropical shower can be part of the Caribbean experience.

This new program is designed to help you feel more confident when booking.

“JetBlue Vacations has always been focused on removing friction from the travel experience,” said Jamie Perry, president of Paisly, the company that operates JetBlue Vacations. “We were proud to be WeatherPromise’s first air holiday partner last year, and we continue to lead the industry with this Jamaica-specific guarantee. Our guests can book knowing they are covered if the weather does not meet their expectations.”

The Jamaica Tourism Board says this collaboration will help them plan more confidently.

“Jamaica is a place of rich culture and warm hospitality,” said Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Jamaican Minister of Tourism. “The Great Weather Guarantee allows travelers to feel confident and fully embrace all that our island has to offer. We are proud to partner with JetBlue Vacations and WeatherPromise to help visitors create unforgettable memories in Jamaica’s unique landscapes and vibrant communities.”

Daniel Price, co-founder of WeatherPromise, said the program is intended to provide confidence when making vacation plans.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with JetBlue Vacations through this exciting new program,” said Price. “WeatherPromise is designed to give our customers greater confidence to travel and experience new places. Through this collaboration, we can bring reassurance to more people visiting one of the Caribbean’s truly iconic destinations.”

Additional benefits of Montego Bay

If you choose Montego Bay, you can also take advantage of JetBlue Vacations’ Insider Experience program. This includes airport transfers worth up to $50, a meet-and-greet upon arrival and 24/7 support from a local insider during your stay.

The Great Weather Guarantee currently only applies to Jamaica packages, and this is the first time JetBlue Vacations has launched a destination-based non-protected version.

If you’re planning a trip to Jamaica in 2026, the concept is simple. Book the right package and have fun. If rainfall exceeds the promised threshold, $500 will be refunded.
