Heathrow is one of several European airports that are hit by cyber attacks affecting electronic check -in and baggage system.

Many flights have been delayed with the “technical problem” software provided to several airlines at Saturday Airport.

Brussels Airport said that the passengers were checked and boarded manually on Friday night’s cyber attack, while Berlin’s Brandenburg airport was longer due to the problem.

RTX, who owns the software supplier Collins Aerospace, said, “I know the cyber -related interruption” about the system of “Select Airports”.

The company added: “This shock is limited to an electronic customer check -in and luggage reduction and can be alleviated by operating manual check -in.”

Muse Software said other airlines were used at the airport to use the same check -in desk and boarding gates, not their own demands.

The BBC knows that British Airways is working normally using a backup system, but most other airlines operated by Heathrow have been affected.

According to the Flight Tracker FlightAway, hundreds of flights were delayed at the airport throughout the Saturday.

Dublin Airport said that the airline implemented a manual check -in process and experienced a “minor influence” due to cyber attacks.

Lucy Spencer said he is waiting to check in Malaysia’s flight for more than two hours, and employees are manually tagging baggage and checking passengers through the phone.

“They told us to use the boarding pass on the phone, but when we arrived at the gate, they didn’t work. Now they returned us to check -in gates,” he added.

Another passenger, Monazza Aslam, said she had been sitting on the runway for more than an hour, saying, “I don’t know when we will fly.”

“I was in Hydro with my elderly parents from 05:00,” she added. “We are hungry and tired.”

Johnny Lal, who is going to fly to Bombay for his mother -in -law’s funeral on Saturday, said he and his mother would now miss the plane.

He told the BBC, “I can’t take a step without a scooter.” “They keep telling us that the system is down.”

Luke Agger-Joynes said that the queue of Terminal 3 is “much greater than normal,” but the Korean airlines and the airport said, “It looks ready and the queue is moving much faster than I was afraid.”

The Collins Aerospace has not yet publicly mentioned the nature and origin of hacking.

Many hacking gangs are headquartered in Russia or other Soviet countries, and some of them are associated with Russian countries.

But teenagers in the United Kingdom and the United States were accused of recent major cyber attacks on Las Vegas Casino, M & S, Cooperative and London Traffic, while there were many arrests elsewhere.
