'It's Glowtime' – Here's what you can pre-order at the Apple iPhone 16 event

Apple product fans were on high alert Monday when Tim Cook unveiled the latest lineup of iPhones, Apple Watches, AirPods, and other hardware. Unsurprisingly, Apple continues to push the concept of smart technology to new and ever-soaring heights.


Apple's new products are available for pre-order

In a flashy 90-minute event titled “It’s Glowtime,” Apple executives highlighted Apple Intelligence, the company’s version of generative AI, which powers many of the AI ​​features integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. Here are some of the latest models of hardware and the AI-powered features that make them stand out.

These products are available for pre-order now on Apple.com, but will be available at other retailers once they are officially available. You won’t find any deals or discounts on these products right away, but new releases often mean discounts on previous-generation products, especially during the Black Friday shopping season.

The iPhone 16 ($799) has a few upgrades over last year’s model. The most notable change is the addition of a customizable action button (which iPhone 15 Pro users already have). You can program this button to change your ringtone settings, turn on the flashlight, launch the camera, or switch to Do Not Disturb mode. There’s also a new camera control button that can take a photo or video, depending on how hard you press it.

The iPhone 16 comes in three versions: iPhone 16 Plus ($899), iPhone 16 Pro ($999), and iPhone 16 Pro Max ($1,199). Pre-orders will be available from September 13th, and official sales will begin on September 20th.

You can now pay a small extra fee to get noise cancellation on all versions of AirPods 4 (previously it was only available on AirPods Max). For its 10th anniversary, the Apple Watch has been redesigned with a 30 percent larger screen, allowing for an additional line of text. It’s also 10 percent thinner and 10 percent lighter, and has rounded corners to make it easier to view the screen at an angle.

It also has a new, larger charging coil that charges the battery to 80% in 30 minutes. Battery life is also expected to be longer, up to 18 hours. Finally, it is programmed to detect signs of sleep apnea. You will receive alerts and detailed reports that you can share with your doctor.

Awesome new AI features in iOS 18
