Jack Draper in the UK could not hide his tremendous disappointment after the second round of the shock MBLE Blade in the hands of 36 -year -old Marin Cilic.
Draper, who participated in the tournament as the fourth seed that entered the tournament this year, won 6-4 6-3 1-6 6-4 by the Croatians.
Since 2021, CILIC has not been able to play in Wimbledon due to serious and repeated knee injuries, but has made the most of BRI for 13 years.
Draper said, “I was really disappointed with the way my game was in the pool this year.
“I didn’t feel so good in Queen’s. I don’t know how I made half.
“This year I emphasized me that I really had a hard time on the lawn. I felt good on the hard coat and I felt great on the clay.
“This will have to keep in mind. I will get better as a player, how to develop my game in the long run next year.
“Obviously it emphasized a lot of weaknesses in my game. Especially, especially as a player on the player, a good person on the grass.”
The draper was asked to expand the weakness of GrassCourt exposed in his game, and Draper replied: “The hole in the forehand appeared. I definitely couldn’t cope with my ball of my ball. I spin a lot.
“I think I’ve had a lot of success in my forehand this year. When I have more time, it’s much easier because I can create the speed and spin I want.
“Obviously, my movement may have been better, and my game still has many areas. I still have to try to be the player I want.
“I want to feel that everything in my game is safe. I think it’s something you see with the best people. They are always consistent because there is no hole in the game.
“There are many areas to improve in the game, despite being amazing progress for the past 12 months.
“In some ways, it’s hard to deal with it because I thought I was ahead of where I was in some ways.”
