
Britain’s No.1 Jack Draper has withdrawn from this week’s UTS London Grand Final following a delayed return from injury.
The tournament was scheduled to be his first on home soil. Withdrawal from US Open due to arm injuryBut the 23-year-old withdrew on Monday.
“I have worked hard to return to UTS London, but disappointingly I am not ready yet,” Draper said in a statement.
“It’s a difficult decision because right now I want nothing more than to get out there and compete, but I’ve been advised to take more time. I’m sorry for disappointing my fans and missing this event.”
Draper was replaced by Frenchman Ugo Humbert for the tournament, which takes place at the Copper Box Arena in London from 5 to 7 December.
