Kiplimo’s Time destroyed the previous record of 57:30 set by Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha last year in Valencia last year, and the performance recorded the largest single improvement in the world record.

The 24 -year -old boy also set up the world’s best world of 40:07 on his way to a history crystal victory, and the nearest challenger, Geoffrey Kamworor, ended for two minutes.

“I’m very happy to do what I have done today,” said Kiplimo, a former 10,000m Olympic and World Championship Bronze Medalist.

“I wanted a great race, but I didn’t expect it to break the world record!”

KIPLIMO immediately controlled the opening kilometer and had already reached the world record until it reached 5km at 13:34, and it was almost 20 seconds in the field and continued to pass 10km at 26:46.

He passed 20km mark at 53:42 over the next kilometer and completed an additional 26:46 10km section, and KIPLIMO won the dominant victory to regain the world records set in Lisbon in 2021.

KIPLIMO added. “Ideal temperature, no wind and fantastic circuit -everything is better than expected.

“The pulse regulator set up an agreed 2:45 face, but I found that it was filled with energy and decided to inject the Breakker rhythm in three kilometers, but I couldn’t imagine performing under the 57 -minute barrier.”

KIPLIMO confirmed that he would not ride again to TCS London Marathon on April 27, and he will debut as part of Star Study, which includes four winners Eliud Kipchoge.
