
Jack Draper was forced to retire injured against France’s Ugo Humbert in the Japan Open quarterfinals on Sunday.
After losing 7-5 in the first set in Tokyo, Britain’s No. 1 Draper was treated for abdominal pain and was unable to continue the match when down 2-1, so she ended the tournament.
Humbert will now face Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic, whom Draper recently beat at the US Open, for a spot in the final.
