Japan executed the first person who killed nine people in 2017, when the country enacted the capital punishment for the first time since 2022.
Takahiro Shiraishi’s serial murder, called “Twitter murderer,” shocked the country and argued on how suicide was discussed online.
30 -year -old Shiraishi seduced the victims.
In October 2017, the police found murder when they found one of the victims in Jama, a Japanese city near Tokyo.

Shiraishi acknowledged that he later killed nine suicide victims and said he was close to them in Twitter, a social media platform known as X.
He told them that they could help them die, and in some cases he would kill himself with him.
His Twitter profile, “I really want to help people who are really painful. Help DM (direct message) at any time.”
When a police officer visited the apartment, nine driven bodies were found in the cooler and tool box, which was called the “Horror House” by the media.
The prosecution sentenced Shiraishi to death, but his lawyers claimed that the victims were allowed to be killed for allegations of “consented murder.”
They also demanded an evaluation of his mental state.
Shiraishi later said that he later challenged his defense team’s event and killed them without the consent of the victim.
Hundreds of people ruled in December 2020.
The murder also triggered the change of Twitter, which was revised to the user and pointed out that the user should not promote or encourage suicide or self -harm.
