The Trump campaign said the Republican candidate has a “very busy and active campaign schedule” and claimed Harris “doesn’t have the stamina of President Trump.”
The trading of barbs came after the White House released a medical report saying Vice President Harris “has the physical and mental resilience” needed to serve as president.
Dr. Joshua Simmons, a U.S. Army colonel who has been Harris’s physician for more than three years, wrote in April that Harris’s most recent physical examination results were “remarkable,” adding that she maintains a healthy and active lifestyle.
He also noted that she had a family history of colon cancer and suffered from allergies. She went on to say she continues recommended preventive care, including colonoscopies and annual mammograms.
“Your turn, Donald Trump,” a Harris campaign spokeswoman said on social media after the medical records were released.
Ahead of a campaign event in North Carolina, Harris tried to question her rival’s mental acuity and how he “goes off on tangents.”
