Mary Jo Campbell, mother of Kardashian-Jenner mom Kris Jenner, has died at the age of 91.
Jenner, 70, announced the news on social media on Thursday, writing, “Today we said goodbye to my beautiful mom MJ.”
A cause of death was not immediately available. Campbell, also known as MJ Shannon, has appeared on the family’s reality show several times since she first gained attention on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which premiered in 2007.
“She taught us that family is everything. She showed us how to love unconditionally and find joy in the small moments. She showed us how to face life’s challenges with resilience and faith,” Jenner wrote.

At the party, Kris Jenner tearfully spoke about the prospect of losing her mother one day, calling her “my best friend and I can’t live without you.” MJ didn’t go anywhere and responded, “We’ll just have to wait for the next party.”
The family marked her 91st birthday with a garden-themed celebration.
