
The US immigration authorities attacked Georgia’s large -scale modern manufacturing sites and arrested more than 450 people.
The 3,000 -acre site, which was built by Korean automobile manufacturers to create electric vehicles, was operated for a year.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport told the BBC’s US partner CBS News that the agent executed a search warrant for allegations of “illegal employment practices and other serious federal crimes.”
The Korea Foreign Ministry said it was one of the detained Koreans.
Atlanta offices at the Alcohol of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives have joined various institutions, including ICE (immigration and tariff execution) to arrest 450 “illegal alien” at Bryan County’s factory.
It is not clear how much Koreans were detained.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “The economic activities of Korean investment companies and the rights and interests of Korean citizens should not be violated in unfairly during the US law execution operation.”
The ministry added that diplomats are dispatched to the scene.
“In Seoul, we also urged Korea to deliver our concerns and regrets today through the US Embassy in Korea and to pay extremely attention to prevent the legitimate rights and interests of Korean citizens.”
Korean companies have promised to invest billions of dollars in major US industries over the next few years.
