At least three police officers died of an explosion at the department training facility of the county sheriff in Eastros Angeles, officials said.
According to the first respondents, the explosion occurred at Biscailuz Center Academy Training on Friday at 07:30 am (15:30 BST).

California Governor Gavin Newsom was briefed on explosion and was “monitoring the situation closely,” his office said in a statement on X.
NEWSOM’s office added that the main support was provided to help respond to the case.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, like alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives, and members of the Los Angeles Police Agency, are helping to investigate.
Kathryn Barger, a Los Angeles County supervisor, said, “We are closely tracking the situation by learning more about what happened and the conditions of people affected.”
“My heart is heavy, and in this difficulty, I have my thoughts with the brave men and women of the sheriff department,” she said.
