“The PGA Tour continues to focus on the safety and well-being of those affected by this unprecedented natural disaster in Greater Los Angeles,” the PGA Tour said in a statement.

“We are grateful to our emergency responders for their efforts to save lives and the tireless work being done to end these tragic bushfires.

“We have decided that The Genesis Invitational 2025 will be held at a different location the week of February 10-16.

“Location updates and additional tournament information will be provided in the coming days.”

Woods focuses on helping ‘everyone struggling’

Earlier this week, Woods insisted he was focused on supporting those affected by the bushfires rather than what would happen at the tournament.

“We are trying to figure everything out and make sure everyone is safe and we will be scheduling meetings in the future,” Woods said Tuesday.

Tiger Woods gives an update on the Genesis Open and whether it will go ahead after the recent LA fires.

“We’re not focused on the tournament at the moment. We’re more focused on what we can do to help all the people who are struggling, who have lost their homes and whose lives have been changed. There are so many bigger things than that (tournaments).”
