Las Vegas featured glamor, flashing lights, and a stage like no other. But now it’s time for Super League to get down to business.
Listening to Hull KR manager Willie Peters and Leeds Rhinos manager Brad Arthur speak throughout the week, they have made a number of comments about not wanting their teams to be surrounded by glitz and glamour.
But they acknowledged that the task was nearly impossible, so they had to find a balance between embracing events while also focusing on the task at hand.
Since landing in ‘Sin City’, Leeds and Robins players have paraded at event after event, with thousands of fans taking every opportunity to meet the superstar.
They started with photo shoots and fan signings, moved on to crazy events in nightclubs, and culminated in a Fremont Street fan experience that truly showcased what Super League is all about.
The sport was presented in a befitting manner. Talk to any British journalist who was in attendance and they will tell you that attending Fremont Street was one of the highlights of their career and the greatest show the sport has ever put on.
The players were wearing shades, hats and bomber jackets. They wowed the crowd with their music, jokes and fashion sense!
But now the pre-show is over. Now it’s time for them to deliver on the pitch. No flashiness, no flashiness, just full of action.
Ultimately, there will be two competing points on offer when these two juggernauts face off on Saturday evening.
Leeds are in 4th place without a win. Hull KR are 13th in the table after a shock defeat to York Knights.
They bounced back in the most spectacular fashion with a monumental World Club Challenge win over the Brisbane Broncos, but must now keep that momentum going in the most bizarre regular round game of Super League they will ever be involved in.
Leeds had Hull KR’s number in 2025. They beat them twice and should have beaten them three times. They will gain a quiet confidence that they can do so again.
From Headingley and Craven Park to the 65,000 capacity Allegiant Stadium featuring never-before-seen LED boards and added roof elements.
The task at hand is to entertain and showcase the talent, skill, tenacity, determination and effort of Super League. Americans want to hit the jackpot!
Wigan blew Warrington away at this event last year, and while it was an incredible surprise, both teams were keen to deliver a close and engaging game.
If they keep their Super League stock as high as they are, Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR will hit the Las Vegas jackpot.
