LG Display announces the brightest and dazzling OLED TV panel ever

The new panel’s innovation focuses on Primary RGB Tandem structure, LG Display’s proprietary technology that uses independent stacks of RGB elements to generate light. Previously, we used a three-stack light source with a single layer of red, green and yellow elements, along with two layers of blue elements that emit relatively short energy wavelengths.

The Primary RGB Tandem structure applied to the 4th generation OLED TV panel consists of four stacks of light sources by adding two layers of blue elements and independent layers of red and green elements. Compared to existing structures, maximum brightness has been improved by increasing the amount of light generated from each layer.
