When asked on Friday for an update on the contract situation surrounding Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk, Slot once again had no comment and said talks between the club and the trio were “ongoing”.
“If the players aren’t performing as well as they are, their contract situation could be an issue,” Slott said. “Of course, if they are no longer performing well, I am not sure if it has anything to do with the contract situation.
“Right now all three are in a good place and they are all doing really, really, really well and as Virgil said, there are ongoing discussions with people he needs to talk to. You know, I’m not that guy. I don’t talk to him about anything else. do.
